15 Mar PEAK 2018 TRAVEL TIMES: PRE-BOOK YOUR SEAT WITH CITYBUG & TRAVEL IN STYLE

Goodness, but this year sure is off to a fast and furious start. It seems like we barely celebrated Christmas, and now the end of February is already in sight! To ensure that you can visit your loved ones and make your way to all those special family occasions this year, we’d like to recommend that you pre-book your tickets for peak 2018 travel times. This way, the expense is already taken care of, and you can rest assured that your space is booked on a comfortable Citybug Shuttle that will take you all the way to your destination in style.

HERE ARE A FEW OF THE BUSIEST TRAVEL TIMES IN THE FIRST HALF ON THE 2018 SOUTH AFRICAN CALENDER:

Easter Weekend (30 March – 2 April)

Easter weekend is the first real break of the new year, which is why you often find many families on the road during this time with their children. It’s also an important Christian holiday, so many people make their way back home to their parents to celebrate as a family. As such, our shuttles are often very busy over this time, ferrying people to and from the airport, and major towns and cities throughout the Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and North West provinces of South Africa.

Freedom Day + Labour Day Long Weekend (27 April – 2 May)

Although this period isn’t technically an official long weekend, many people turn it into one by taking one or two leave days to build out their time away from the office, so they can take a longer break or go on a bit of a getaway. As such, the roads are also very busy during this time. If you’re thinking of cashing in on these two public holidays that fall so close together, book your ticket soon, so you can make your way to your destination without the worry of securing transport later on.

Winter Holidays (23 June – 16 July)

Then, of course, there are the major winter holidays – the time of year when children can relax after the first two terms, and many parents take leave to spend some quality time at home or at a family holiday destination. If you’re thinking of exploring the many marvels of the Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and North West provinces, we recommend that you book your tickets soon, so we can be sure to keep your spot on our Citybug shuttles.

These are a few of the busiest times on the 2018 South African calendar. Keep an eye out later in the year, when we’ll publish the peak times for the second half of 2018.
